Most Taxing People in Hollywood article

http://movies.msn.com/story/taxing-movie-people/

GREAT article.

Some of my favorite quotes---

“With Michael Bay, what's frustrating isn't merely the films that are, but the films that you can imagine if only he'd quit being lazy, put in real work and prove that a good movie can make money, too.”

"There is no such thing as a Jennifer Aniston movie — it's always somebody else and Jennifer Aniston."

Christian Bale also gets lavished with wows for losing unhealthy amounts of weight for roles in "The Machinist" and his Oscar-winning tic-fest "The Fighter." Man, that guy really goes all out for his art! My response? To quote Laurence Olivier upon seeing Dustin Hoffman had stayed up for two days to play a character who had stayed up for two days in "Marathon Man": "Try acting, dear boy."

When I look into Angelina Jolie's eyes — at least on screen, not having had that privilege in person — I don't see a whole lot going on in there. And that's troubling.

For almost the entirety of the 21st century, Harrison Ford has been replaced in his films by a version of Mike Pomeroy. He looks as if he showed up because somebody put a gun to his head, rather than promised him $20 million, or whatever it is he makes per film.

A performer believes, usually correctly, that he or she has been hired to be himself or herself within a role, rather than becoming the role. Penn made an early diagnosis on what was indeed to become a chronic condition for Cage: He is hired to be Nic Cage, over and over again.
